Salvation Army KROC Center Chapel
Guayama
A fully accessible and barrier-free chapel that transforms into a multipurpose community auditorium is one of the main elements of The Salvation Army Kroc Community Center in Guayama. The architecture and interior details were designed with optimum acoustical and lighting controls in mind. Seating for the public is wheelchair accessible and there are perfect visuals towards the altar/stage from all seating locations. The altar transforms into a stage for community events. A bell tower with a cross signals the presence of the chapel from the outside.
In accordance with the mission of The Salvation Army, the Kroc Community Center is open to any person wishing to enjoy its services, and was built near a low income and low resources community to provide it with a variety of educational, spiritual, recreational and sporting services.
