University of Puerto Rico Law School
The original UPR Law School Building at the UPR’s Rio Piedras Campus was designed by Henry Klumb in the late 1950s. The new program required a substantial expansion of the library and the faculty offices area, and the construction of new facilities for legal aid clinic. In addition, updating the infrastructure and meeting applicable building codes was a requisite. The design juxtaposes the integration of the original building and the new structure. The interior design incorporated art as an integral part of the atmosphere by designing spaces tailored for specific pieces in the University of Puerto Rico’s collection.
