Paseo Lineal Puerta de Tierra

The Paseo Puerta de Tierra project consists of infrastructure and environmental improvements to the area known as “Puerta de Tierra” in the islet of San Juan, the entrance to the historic city of Old San Juan. The project provides a safe route for pedestrians and cyclists for circulation, exercising and recreational activities; however, the main goal is to bring vitality to a neglected but very significant part of the city, and thus promote similar initiatives in all neighboring areas. The new path maximizes the enjoyment of one of the most beautiful panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. The project includes solar powered street lighting, a green roof and rainwater management.
