COSSMA, Inc., a healthcare provider located in the eastern part of the island, offer primary care in Pediatrics, Dental, Gynecology, General Medicine, Optometry, and Biosocial Services. The first clinic designed by SCF was developed in a 1950’s abandoned warehouse in Las Piedras, transforming it into a state-of-the-art medical facility. The main lobby was extended with full glass windows and louvered aluminum fronts to incorporate natural light while filtering direct sunlight. In addition, SCF designed a new two-story building in Aibonito, with medical facilities on the ground level and a Training Center on the second level.

Both are part of a series of clinics that COSSMA has developed in the eastern part of Puerto Rico, with a cohesive architectural vocabulary established by SCF at the Las Piedras clinic and in Aibonito as a new corporate branding. Signature elements include metallic wall panels, large glass fronts and fixed louvers, COSSMA’s logo, and the use of neutral colors with blue accents.
