The station is located at the intersection of several streets within the Centro Médico de Puerto Rico Complex. The central, sunken platform has a sizeable roof with skylights aligned with the stairways to provide natural light. Prefabricated vertical brise-soleils at the sides of the entryway are used to maintain a visual connection between the interior and the exterior. The beams over the brise-soleils are designed to function as concrete louvers that allow for natural ventilation.
