AMGEN Child Daycare
Juncos
As part of Amgen’s expansion, a 20,000 square feet building was designed to provide child care services to its employees. At an estimated cost of 5.2 million dollars the Childcare Building houses distinctive areas for 144 children ranging from infants to school age groups. Each age group room has its separate play yard area with equipment that serves the child specific needs. The building also has administrative offices, a lounge for the care providers, a kitchen, a laundry area and a central courtyard that allows all age groups to interact. To ensure that the Center was designed to meet the U. S. General Services Administration guidelines SCF worked with the International Child Resource Institute as consultants.
