5 Public Hospitals in Panama - Ministerio de Salud, Panamá

Provinces of Colón, Darien, Chiriquí, Los Santos, Veraguas

The proposal for five (5) public hospitals to be built in different Panamanian provinces focused on a tropical vocabulary of pitched roofs, pergolas and courtyards that would function within a kit of parts for each separate development. Program clusters will be arranged according to site conditions and the hospital’s size and complexity. The developments include: a 477-bed / 501,473 sf hospital in the Province of Colón, two 133-bed / 159,472 sf hospitals – one in the Province of Darien, the other in Chiriquí, a 256-bed / 275,505 sf hospital in the Province of Los Santos, and a 391-bed / 429,217 sf in the Province of Veraguas.
